Who Is Jesus!
We do not seek to worship a white Jesus, a black Jesus, a political Jesus or a Jesus made in our image. To us, Jesus is not a historical figure. He is (present tense) God’s Son, sent to die for the sins of humanity and reconcile us all back to God. He was born of a virgin birth by God’s Spirit and raised from the grave by this same Spirit! He is not one of the ways to God. He is the only way to God.
The Cross!
We make a big deal about the Cross. The Cross of Jesus was God’s reset button to life. We believe that the three greatest words ever uttered are, “it is finished.” There are no circumstance within your life that Jesus didn’t finish on the Cross. The Cross was Jesus’ finish line but it is our starting line to a new life!
To us, it will always be about Jesus!
Jesus is Alive!
Ascend Nashville exist because Jesus exist! Jesus is not a historical figure, rather He is alive and desires to live among us. The Christian life is all about Jesus continuing to live out His life within us and to carry out what He finished on the Cross.
